Moon Supervisors Hire Interim Parks Director

The Moon Township Board of Supervisors has appointed the assistant director of Moon Parks to head the department on an interim basis. 

Lance Welliver, who has worked in the Moon Township Parks and Recreation Department since 2009, will replace outgoing parks director Dana Kasler until a permanent hire is made. 

Supervisors approved Welliver's new appointment during their Oct. 29 meeting. His annual salary is $61,302.82. 

No permanent replacement for Kasler has yet been named, said township spokeswoman Alexis Sergeant. 

Kasler, who has been employed with the township since 2000, accepted a position in Lee County, Florida. His final day of work in the township is Nov. 7, Sergeant said.
