Moon Launches Redesigned Community Website

The township's Board of Supervisors also awards bids.

Moon Township this week debuted a newly redesigned website. 

Townshp Manager Jeanne Creese said the site, which can still be found at MoonTwp.com, features easier access to community resources, such as the Moon's community request form and the SwiftReach reverse 911 service, which alerts residents of area emergencies.

Supervisors moved to award a $51,500 bid to Newcrete Products for pre-stresesed concrete slab beams, which will be used for the North Flaugherty Run Road Bridge over Boggs Run. 

The board moved to rescind its approval of the Cimarron Planned Residential Development third phase, to be built off Spring Run Road extention.

The board initially approved phase three of the development in July. 

Cimarron developers requested that the board rescind its previous vote. The developer wishes to continue work to the phase without bonding improvments through a performance security, said township manager Adam Bish. 

"(The developer) is constructing these improvements at his own risk," Bish said.
