Montour Run Bridges to Close in North Fayette and Findlay Through Fall

Officials said the bridge closings are necessary to complete improvements.

Montour Run Bridges No. 4 and No. 5 in North Fayette and Findlay townships will close at 7 a.m. Monday, July 15 through mid-November, the Allegheny County Department of Public Works announced.

The Montour Run Bridge No. 4 is located on Enlow Road at the intersection of Cliff Mine Road. Montour Run Bridge No. 5 is located on Cliff Mine Road at Oak Moss Drive. 

Officials said the bridge closings are necessary to complete improvements to abutments, approaches, bridge seats, scour protection and for the construction of new bridge decks and to replace box beams.

Enlow Road will be closed to through traffic at Cliff Mine Road. Cliff Mine Road will be closed to through traffic from Enlow Road to Oak Moss Drive.  

Detours will be posted for Enlow and Cliff Mine Roads.

The work zone will also impact the traffic on the Montour Trail during this time, but the trail and the parking area at Enlow and Cliff Mine Road will remain open.

The prime contractor for the project is Plum-based Pugliano Constructions, Inc.
