Montour Run Bridge Closures to Continue

The bridge that carries Route 51 over Montour Run will remain closed to motorists through Friday.

Road crews will continue ongoing repairs through Friday to the bridge that carries Route 51 over Montour Run.

The $1.8 million bridge preservation project, which began earlier this month, includes paving and the application of a latex overlay on the bridge. The work cannot be performed while motorists are on the bridge, according to a Pennsylvania Department of Transportation statement.

The bridge will reopen after the weekend.
