Driving to Pittsburgh? Expect Traffic Delays

Construction will cause delays for commuters.

Motorists driving to Pittsburgh should expect a longer-than-usual commute in the coming days, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.

PennDOT said traffic in both directions on Interstate 376 in Moon will stop briefly from 6:30-10 a.m Sunday. Crews from Sargent Electric, a group contracted through Duquesne Light, will be working along the Parkway.

Traffic delays of 15 minutes or less are expected between the Montour Run and Ridge Road exits.

Short-term, single-lane closures are also expected next week from Monday to Friday on both Interstate 79 and Interstate 376 in the Moon area. PennDOT crews will be installing and replacing signs in the evening.

Motorists are advised to slow down and use caution in construction zones.
