Announcement: Moon Area Choir Sings in State Capitol

Moon Area students will perform today in Harrisburg as a part of Music in Our School Month.

The Moon Area Middle School eighth-grade concert choir today will perform in the Pennsylvania Capitol building.

Directed by teachers Janice Barthen and D.J. Kobaly, the group of 65 students will sing alongside other school music groups, in an event celebrating Music In Our Schools Month.

Students in the eighth grade choir audition with a voice placement performance and are selected for the group based on their musicianship skills, according to a district announcement.
