Mailboxes Knocked Over, Convertible Top Slashed

said 13 mailboxes were bent and knocked over on Wyngate Road this weekend. 

The incidents were reported early Sunday morning, according to police reports. The damage occurred at homes in the 100 and 200 blocks of Wyngate.  

No one has been charged in connection with the incidents.

Police also reported that someone used a knife to slice through the convertible roof of a car parked in the 100 block of Greenlea Drive.

Police said someone cut through a 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse's vinyl roof with a knife, razor or sharp blade sometime Saturday night. The incident "appeared to be of a random nature," according to police records. A damage estimate for the vehicle was unavailable.
