Two Pine-Richland Teens Who Made Lewd Comments to Young Girl Caught

Police Chief T. Robert Amann said the boys are 17-year-old Pine-Richland High School students.

Two teens who made lewd comments to a 10-year-old girl as she walked home from the bus stop in her Richland neighborhood last week have been charged with harassment, said Northern Regional Police Chief T. Robert Amann.

The teens—both 17-year-old Pine-Richland High School students—will perform community service, the chief said. He did not release their names because they are juveniles.

Amann said the girl and a 9-year-old boy were walking together down Woodhill Drive in the Orchard Park neighborhood Thursday after getting off their school bus when they encountered the teens. The chief said the teens made the lewd remarks to the children before driving off.

Police identified the teens late Friday and interviewed them Monday morning with their parents, Amann said.

"They understand the severity of what they did," Amann said. "They cooperated with us."

The boys admitted their involvement in the incident, he said.

Asked if the boys explained why they made the comments, Amann responded, "They were just being stupid, so to speak."

Pathetic straw man, Susan M., but whatever. Most importantly, your delusional thinking and lack of logic supporting your "opinions" is disturbingly more frightening to me than anything these teens did. See, you're an adult. When you assert, in response to my challenging you, that I: "... immediately went into defense mode to protect these boys. Family members of yours?" you need someone to be direct and tell you that you are being stupid and sophomoric. Maybe Chief Amman could better explain. Lastly, just for some edification. I don't need to generate support for your wild assertion that teens yelling inappropriate comments out a car to a young girl cause them to be sexual predators/sexual offenders. That is on you. Good luck with that.

Dear parent 2012 WOW is all I have to say... I never said you didn't care about the little girl just that the focus is on boys not the little girl and her family and how this effects them. You were so bent on pointing out that they were TALKED to and no they were wrong. This does not make that little girl feel any better or safer since they are allowed to go on like nothing happened.

move on with your lives. the kids learned their lesson by now and guess what? neither suzy or the grad parent can do anything. I'm in college now. you're generation is so out of date in arrogance. you guys are arguing over an article about some inappropriate comments to a 10 year old who probably doesnt even remember it. the kids were 17 so it comes off their record. hence: why they got charged with a misdemeanor serving as a "warning" due to it coming off of the record in a year. I'm sure reality set in with those ignorant boys and i hope it has with you two ignorant parents.
