Three Men Face Drug Charges in Robinson Township

Three men face charges after a Robinson Township police officer on patrol observed one of them shooting up heroin while traveling on Steubenville Pike at about 7:30 p.m. May 13.

Robinson Township police filed charges of prohibited acts against Zachary B. Buday, 27, and Edward Michael Dubielak, 24, both of of California, PA; and Brenen Casey Greer, 25, of Cecil Township, all of whom were in the car. Greer faces an additional charge of prohibited acts–possession in connection with the incident.

They each face preliminary hearings at 10 a.m. July 9 before District Judge Carla M. Swearingen.

According to a police report, an officer patroling Steubenville Pike saw a male passenger shooting up heroin. He followed the vehicle into the Kings Restaurant parking lot where he saw Greer, who was identified as the passenger, placing items in the passenger door panel.

As Greer exited, the officer saw he had been sitting on three bricks (150 stamp bags) of suspected heroin that were packaged in newspaper. In the passenger door, the officer found a clear baggie with several needles, empty white glassine bags, a spoon and cotton swabs.

When the driver, Buday, opened the door to exit, the officer found several empty white glassine stamp bags on the front floor mat. The officer also removed a needle, spoon and cotton swabs from the driver's side door.

Dubielak, a second passenger, had a needle in the side pocket of his cargo pants, the report indicates.

Police took the three men to the Robinson Police Department. They were charged by summons.
