Suspects Charged in Prostitution Stings Face Hearings

Seven people in a prostitution sting that  conducted in October face hearings today in Coraopolis District Court.

Police from Moon, Cranberry and Pittsburgh last month operated an undercover prostitution sting at an undisclosed Moon apartment complex, charging 10 people with prostitution-related offenses and two with child endangerment. 

Police said the people charged agreed to meet with detectives to have sex in exchange for money.

Those who will appear before Magisterial Judge Mary Murray in connection to the sting include: 

  • Chase Dunn, 25, of Delaware, was charged with criminal conspiracy, prostitution and possessing instruments of crime. 
  • Ashley Nicole Jones, 19, of Irwin, was charged with criminal conspiracy, prostitution and possessing instruments of crime. 
  • Amy Rose Newman, 23, of Delaware, was charged with promoting prostitution, criminal conspiracy, prostitution and possessing instruments of crime.
  • Dafney Sienicki, 30, of Burgettstown, was charged with endangering the welfare of a child, promoting prostitution, criminal conspiracy, prostitution and possessing instruments of crime.
  • Brian Thomas, 26, of Delaware, was charged with criminal conspiracy, prositution and possessing instruments of crime. 
  • James Melvin Chappell, 48, of Burgettstown, was charged with endangering the welfare of children, promoting prostitution and two counts of criminal conspiracy. Police said Melvin brought a 6-year-old child with him. 
  • Jeffrey Murphy, 20, of Delaware, was charged with criminal conspiracy, prostitution and possessing instruments of crime.

  • Joseph Michael Boward, 23, of Moon, was charged Sept. 15 with two counts of driving under the influence of a controlled substance and two counts of prohibited acts. 
  • Diane F. Bunch, 30, of Clairton, was charged Aug. 11 with felony criminal trespass and receiving stolen property. 
  • Brandi Shriver, 32, of Burgettstown, was charged Police May 22 with theft by unlawful taking. 
  • Crescent Police charged Reese James Alan, 31, of Crescent, on Nov. 7 with buglary, criminal trespass, receiving stolen property and criminal attempt.
