Pennsylvania State Police in Moon charged a woman with drug possession after a hit-and-run crash near Pittsburgh International Airport.
State troopers received a complaint of a two-vehicle crash at 4:15 p.m. Sunday near the McClaren Road exit on Interstate 376 westbound, but both vehicles had left the area before police arrived, according to a police report.
Troopers traced one of the involved vehicle's license plate numbers to the Pittsburgh International Avis Rent-a-Car location, where they found driver Martha Svetik, 33, of Washington.
Svetik said she was involved in the crash, but the other driver had left the scene. Avis staff members told police they found what they believed to be marijuana residue in the woman's rental vehicle.
State Trooper James Lulkovitz received permission to search Svetik's personal car, where he found an undisclosed amount of heroin and suspected paraphernalia, according to the report.
Charges against Svetik are pending, state police said.
