Robinson Police: Woman Falls for Justin Bieber Ticket Scam

Robinson Township Police blotter for Wednesday, Dec. 12.

A Monessen woman forked over $300 for a pair of Justin Bieber concert tickets that turned out to be fakes, according to Robinson police.

Police said the woman, who found the tickets through a seller on Craigslist, agreed to meet with a Crafton man named "Morgan Thetter" on Nov. 19 outside of the Mall at Robinson to exchange the tickets, according to a complaint.

When the woman and her daughter attended the tween star's concert on Nov. 20 at Consol Energy Center, they were turned away at the door.

Police said the tickets were counterfeits and could find no record of a man named Morgan Thetter.

Tickets for Bieber's Consol Energy Center concert were sold out, the Post-Gazette reported.

No one has been charged in connection to the incident and police continue to investigate.

Robinson Police also responded to the following recent incidents and made the following recent arrests. Each item is a reflection of police records and does not indicate guilt or a conviction:

Police charged a Cranberry man with drunken driving after a one-vehicle crash at 1 a.m. Dec. 2 on McCormick Road.

Jesus Saldana, 23, was not injured when his vehicle rolled over into a yard at 5046 McCormick Road. Saldana failed a field sobriety test and was charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, according to police.

Ross Yakubik, 23, of McKees Rocks, was charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance after a two-vehicle crash at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 9 on Montour Run Road.

I'm having trouble deciphering/accessing complete posts above. I have not been able to follow theRead More Boards meetings since relocating a year ago to TN. The fact that it took them til 3 am to ok WalMart's plans for the space, makes me think it was contentious, as it should have been. Many of us with experience of WalMart and the existing problems with traffic in the area remain appalled to hear WalMart's moving ahead.
