Robinson Police Investigate Man With Gun, Stolen Vehicle

Robinson Township police are continuing to investigate separate incidents involving a man with a gun who is believed to have also crashed a stolen vehicle.

Police said the man was spotted Tuesday with the gun about 7 p.m. in the 1000 block of Westpointe Drive in the township's Westpointe Apartments.

KDKA-TV reports that an officer was speaking with two men in a car when the car drove away, and a man ran out of the car with his hand on his waistband where a gun was seen.

The man then ran into the woods, where police began a search.

Police were unable to locate a suspect, but said a male fitting the same description stole a vehicle from the Western Area YMCA on Montour Road.

The vehicle wrecked later Tuesday night in Pittsburgh on the McKees Rocks border, but the driver fled.

Police were working to process the car.
