Robinson Police Arrest Two on Drug-Related Charges

A woman and a man face charges for separate incidents in the township.

Robinson Township police have charged a woman and a man with drug-related offenses during separate incidents this month.

Danielle Marie Richardson, 31, who has addresses in Tyrone, PA and McKees Rocks, remains in the Allegheny County Jail, unable to post a $20,000 bond, after Robinson police charged her with prohibited acts (possession) on April 8.

According to a police report, an officer had spotted a car with Richardson and a male companion near the Pittsburgh Motel, known as a high crime and drug area along Steubenville Pike. Then, while patroling the Twin Circle Trailer Park on Stephen Lane, he spotted the couple exiting the car.

They told police they had just come from tanning. The officer noticed heavy IV-drug track marks on Richardson. He took her into custody after discovering an outstanding warrant for her arrest.

She admitted to having a bundle (10 bags) of heroin hidden in a body cavity. A female McKees Rocks police officer came to the station and removed it from Richardson's body.

A preliminary hearing to face the charges filed by Robinson police has been scheduled before District Judge Carla Swearingen at 10 a.m. June 4.

In a separate incident, Roscoe Edward Wilson, 34, of New Cumberland, WV, is charged with prohibited (drug) acts and driving under a foreign (out-of-state) license after his Pennsylvania license had been revoked.

On April 15, while on routine patrol near the Pittsburgh Motel, an officer saw a suspicious car in the parking lot of the Sapporo Japanese Steakhouse with one man passed out and a second man who appeared shocked to see a policeman.

When the officer got behind the car, the two men exited and began to walk away. The officer ordered them back to the car. Wilson, who was the driver, told the officer they had been looking for jobs and had pulled over to take a nap.

A second officer, who had arrived on the scene, noticed numerous cotton swabs in the car. The passenger told police a female who had been in the car used them to remove makeup.

Police discovered the passenger had a syringe in his boot. Wilson had a syringe in his jeans pocket, according to a police report.

Wilson will face a preliminary hearing before Swearingen. No date has yet been set.
