Robinson Gears Up For Autumn Festival

The township will host its annual autumn celebration, now in its tenth year, Saturday Burkett Park.

Township Manager Aaron Bibro said it's a pretty good representation of Robinson as a whole.

Community organizations ranging from the Western Area YMCA to the Moon Run Fire Company and sports teams will be on hand at Burkett Park for the township's tenth-annual Autumn Festival.

"It's pretty much our only large community event and I'd say it's a good sampling of Robinson," Bibro said.

"In terms of the vendors, we don't allow two of anything," he said. "So there's a lot of variety.

The event, which runs from noon to 10 p.m. Saturday, features vendors offering everything from first aid courses and massages to pulled pork and a dunk tank.

New to the event will be an interactive video game trailer for festival attendees.

Parking for the event will be available at Burkett Park off Steubenville Pike.

"You'll come and see just a lot of people from the community there to just walk around and see what's going on," he said.

The New Castle-based Pyrotechnico will be on hand for a 9:45 firework display over the park. Band will perform at the park's main stage at 2:30 p.m. St. Malachy and Holy Trinity cheerleaders as well as dancers from Scriva Dance Studios will also perform throughout the day.
