Oil Drilling Equipment Stolen from Hotel Parking Lot

said a man employed by an oil drilling company earlier this week reported that equipment valued at $2,000 was stolen from his truck. 

Police said the man, who is a Texas resident but has been living at the l on Thorn Run Road while working for a drilling company, returned from a vacation on May 16 to find a metal storage case in the back of his 2002 Ford Supercab pried open. 

Police said tools and other items were removed from the storage case, including an adjusting crimping drill valued at $584. The man told police the tool is used to operate drilling machines.

The time and date of the theft were unavailable. No arrests have been made. 

  • Emily Longman, 18, of Pittsburgh, was charged with one count of possession of marijuana and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia at 8:3o p.m. May 1 on Interstate 376 East near the Ewing Road exit. 
  • Kaline Laughner, 19, of Pittsburgh, was charged with one count of drug possession and speeding at 8:30 p.m. May 1 on Interstate 376 East near the Ewing Road exit.
