News Nearby: Ross Detective to Appear on 'America's Most Wanted'

Ross Police Det. Brian Kohlhepp will be among local law enforcement officials featured on the Lifetime Channel's "America's Most Wanted" at  9 p.m. Friday.

 Det. Brian Kohlhepp was among local law enforcement officials featured on the Lifetime Channel's "America's Most Wanted" at 9 p.m. Friday.

The officials were interviewed about Kenneth Konias Jr., the Dravosburg man who is being sought as a suspect in the homicide of a Garda Armored Truck employee and the subsequent robbery of more than $2 million Feb.28 in Pittsburgh.

The investigation in this case is on-going.

Police believe one of the last people to have seen Konias' partner at Garda was an employee at the Crate and Barrel at the Ross Park Mall. Police are also investigating accounts of a gunshot heard in the parking lot of the Ross  about an hour later. 

Police are attempting to gain more attention for the case by featuring Konias on electronic billboards up and down the East Coast.

The FBI is also using social media to circulate information about the case. Three detectives, including Kohlhepp, and one FBI special agent who are working on the case also traveled to Washington, DC recently to appear on "America’s Most Wanted."
