Moon Woman Charged with Biting Police Officer

A Moon Township woman kicked a Moon Police officer and bit another as she was being taken into the department's station. 

Kerrie Ann Dyczewski, 45, was charged on March 13 with making terroristic threats, simple assault, aggravated assault and resisting arrest. 

Police arrested Dyzczewski following a domestic dispute, in which she was charged with attacking her boyfriend.

As officers escorted Dyzczewski away, she told her boyfriend she would "kill him," police said. 

The woman fought Moon officers as they attempted to bring her into the station, and yelled "abusive and threatening" remarks, according to a police complaint.

Dyzczewski's head struck a wall in the lobby of the station as police fought to subdue her. Police said she bit an officer's hand to resist arrest. 

Officers were not injured in the incident. 

Moon Township Police responded to the following recent incidents and made the following recent arrests. Each item is a reflection of police records and does not indicate guilt or a conviction. 

  • William Telford Neugebauer, 72, of Moon Township, was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of a controlled substance on March 15 on University Boulevard. 
  • Allyson Kristine Gaglia, 24, of Moon, was charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and careless driving following a one-vehicle crash March 8 on Maple Street Extension. 
  • Marsha Smith Hicks, 47, of Moon, was charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, careless driving and driving with a suspended license following a one-vehicle crash Feb. 26 on Old Thorn Run Road.
