Moon Prostitution Suspect Waives Hearing

Three women charged with working as prostitutes in Moon Township appeared this week in Coraopolis District Court.

A Las Vegas woman charged with working as a prostitute in Moon Township waived her right to a preliminary hearing this week in Coraopolis District Court.

Erica Johnson, 23, is charged with promoting prostitution, conspiracy and possessing instruments of crime after her Oct. 29 arrest at the Super 8 motel in Moon Township. A charge of promoting prostitution was withdrawn.

She is scheduled to face a formal arraignment on Jan. 10.

Moon Police said in a complaint Johnson advertised herself as an escort in the Moon area via the online classifieds website Backpages.com.

Johnson was arrested at the hotel with 33-year-old Taylor Sydney, of California. Prostitution charges against Sydney have been dismissed, according to court records.

Shawna Pansegrau, 27, of Minnesota, was also charged with working as a prostitute in Moon Township on the night of Oct. 29 at the La Quinta Inn & Suites on University Boulevard.

Pansegrau is charged with promoting prostitution and possessing instruments of crime. A felony charge of promoting prostitution was withdrawn.

Pansegrau faces a formal arraignment on Jan. 10.

I'm having trouble deciphering/accessing complete posts above. I have not been able to follow theRead More Boards meetings since relocating a year ago to TN. The fact that it took them til 3 am to ok WalMart's plans for the space, makes me think it was contentious, as it should have been. Many of us with experience of WalMart and the existing problems with traffic in the area remain appalled to hear WalMart's moving ahead.
