Moon Police: Two Injured in Brodhead Road Crash

Police detour traffic around the scene of an evening crash.

Moon Township Police said a motorist suffered a broken arm and leg after a two-car collision today on Brodhead Road. 

Officer Justin Blair said two people were taken to area hospitals following the crash, which occurred just before 6 p.m. near the West Hills Health and Rehabilitation Center and Stardust Lounge on the road. 

Blair said a vehicle traveling in the right lane from the direction of University Boulevard veered over the traffic line, striking an oncoming vehicle.

The driver of one of the vehicles involved suffered a fractured arm and leg in the crash. The vehicle's passenger suffered a possible fractured ankle and difficulty breathing, Blair said. 

Moon Township firefighters assisted in removing passengers from one of the vehicles, he said.

The driver of the second vehicle involved was not injured. 

Officers blocked off traffic near University Boulevard and Grant Drive while the rescue took place.
