Moon Police Make Arrests for Public Drunkenness, Retail Theft

Police blotter for Tuesday, June 14.

arrested a Burgettstown man Sunday morning after he was found sleeping in the middle of Montour Run Road.

Michael Richard Volle, 26, was discovered asleep  at 3 a.m. near the center lane of the road near the Hookstown Grade Road intersection, according to police records.

Police said they found Volle in the middle of the road, without a shirt on and missing one tennis shoe. He was charged with public drunkenness.

The Allegheny County Sheriff's Department had received a warrant for Volle's arrest stemming from drunken-driving charges in March, according to court records.

A preliminary hearing date has not yet been scheduled.

  • Justin Darnell Moore, 24, of Moon, was charged with simple assault, harassment and recklessly endangering another at 1 a.m. June 12 in the Polo Club Apartment complex.

  • Danielle Lynn Fodse, age unavailable, of Coraopolis, was charged with retail theft at 9 p.m. June 6 at the  on Marketplace Boulevard. Police said Fodse, who worked at the store, attempted take more than $200 worth of items, including groceries and clothing. She was apprehended in the store's parking lot.

  • Three thefts from vehicles were reported on the evening of June 11 near the 1900 block of Beechford Avenue. Items removed from the vehicles totaled less than $200. All of the vehicles were unlocked.

  • A theft from a vehicle was reported on the evening of June 11 on Shafer Road. Items removed from the vehicle totaled less than $50. The vehicle was unlocked at the time of the incident.
