Moon Police Locate Missing 21-Year-Old Woman in Robinson

Police said Stephanie Thomas, missing for three weeks, did not appear to be in distress.

A 21-year-old Moon Township woman missing for several weeks has been located.

Moon Police Chief Leo McCarthy said off-duty Moon Township Police Officer
Ian Lucas spotted Stephanie Thomas at 3:03 p.m. in the Taco Bell on Steubenville Pike in Robinson Township.

"He called the Moon Township and Robinson Township police. It was confirmed to be her," McCarthy said.

McCarthy said the woman did not appear to be in distress. Her mother has been contacted, he added.

Thomas was reported missing from Moon by her mother who last saw her on Thursday, July 18 at their Fifth Avenue home, according to reports.

Moon Police officers, following leads, searched several Pittsburgh neighborhoods, but couldn't immediately locate the woman, who was reported to have a history of mental illness.

McCarthy thanked the local media for their assistance.
