Moon Police Identify Peeping Tom Suspect

Chief Leo McCarthy said police have identified a suspect in connection to a series of peeping tom incidents at Moon Township apartment complexes. 

McCarthy said officers in recent days arrested a white adult male, who was found standing outside an apartment window at Waterford Landing apartments with personal lubricant in his pocket. 

McCarthy said the male, whom he did not identify, gave a "substantial admission" to police regarding a series of women's complaints that a man was lurking outside of their apartment windows.

The suspect has not yet been formally charged in connection to the case, and McCarthy said an investigation is ongoing. 

"We're still putting the case together," he said. 

McCarthy said the complaints have spanned several months and involved at least a dozen apartments at Waterford Landing and the apartments on Beaver Grade Road. He said police likely will charge the man with malicious prowling or stalking. 

McCarthy said the man lives outside of the Pittsburgh area. 

"He knows not to come back to Moon Township," McCarthy said.
