Moon Man in Fair Condition After Motorcycle Crash

The Moon resident remains at Allegheny General Hospital after a Beaver County motorcycle crash.

A Moon Township man who was thrown 120 feet off his motorcycle in a Beaver County Sunday is in fair condition. 

John K. Nixon, 58, remains hospitalized at Allegheny General Hospital in the Northside. He was traveling east around 4 p.m. Sunday on Anderson Hozak Road in Hanover Township when he hit a large pile of gravel, causing him to lose control of his 2006 Harley Davidson motorcycle. 

Pennsylvania State Police said the road had recently been tarred and chipped by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. Nixon was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
