Man Tasered and Charged with Making Terroristic Threats

The Coraopolis resident is held in the Allegheny County Jail following the incident.

said they subdued a Coraopolis man with a Taser gun after he lunged at officers and threatened to kill them, according to police reports. 

Joshua Brian Williams, 26, was held in the Allegheny County Jail following the incident on July 17. He is charged with three counts of aggravated assault and two counts each of resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and making terroristic threats. 

Police said they responded at 2:30 a.m. to the 500 block of Cypress Drive to a report of a man screaming in the street.

Police said they found Williams standing in a front yard yelling and screaming and with a visible injury to his face. 

He began swinging his arms and yelling at officers as they approached him, according to a police report. Police said he yelled "I'm going to kill you." He lunged at officers as they moved closer to him, police said.

Police sprayed pepper spray in his face, but Williams continued to resist, according to the report. Officers shocked him with a Taser gun and arrested him.

He faced a preliminary hearing July 26 in Coraopolis District Court. Information on his bail amount was not available.
