Man Tased, Charged with Exposing Himself at Moon Theater

Police said the man resisted arrest.

A Pittsburgh man was tased after police said he became unruly at a Moon Township drive-in theater and exposed himself to an off-duty officer.

said Daniel McKenna, 37, was "overtly intoxicated" and causing disturbances June 2 at  on Moon Clinton Road, when he approached off-duty police officer and began questioning him about firearms. 

The officer said McKenna "was reaching in his pants as if he were armed" while speaking to him about guns, according to a police report. It was unclear if McKenna knew that the man was a police officer.

The officer told Moon Police that McKenna exposed himself and urinated on his car before being taken from the theater by his wife. 

Moon officers stopped McKenna's vehicle on Moon Clinton Road and placed him under arrest. Officers said in a report that McKenna resisted being placed in a police car and became "verbally abusive" to the off-duty officer who was at the scene.

Officer Justin Blair tased McKenna for several seconds before the man relented. 

McKenna is charged with public drunkeness, open lewdness, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. He is scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing July 24 at Coraopolis District Court, according to court records.
