Residents' Complaints Lead to Drug Paraphernalia Charge

A Moon Township man was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after complaints that a man in the complex was knocking on doors and waking up neighbors. 

Justin David Trahan, 33, of Moon, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after spotted a marijuana pipe in his apartment. 

Police responded to the apartment complex on Kris Road at 2 a.m. Dec. 30 after receiving multiple complaints that an unidentified man was knocking on doors in the building and disturbing residents.

When officers arrived at the building they found a "naked white male at apartment 202," knocking on the door. 

Sgt. Doug Ogden said in a report that after seeing police the man "turned and ran into apartment 201 and locked the door."

When police knocked on door 201, Trahan, who was not the male previously seen in the hallway, invited police into the apartment, where officers saw the pipe.

Trahan told police that he had not left his apartment that evening. Police did not identify the man seen in the hallway. 

Information on Trahan's preliminary hearing in Coraopolis District Court is not yet available.

Moon Police made the following recent arrests in the township. Each incident is a reflection of police records and does not indicate guilt. 

  • Casey Jordan Miller, 24, of Crescent Township, was charged with possession of marijuana and public drunkenness at 4 a.m. Jan. 1. on University Boulevard near the Sewickley Bridge. 
  • Carly Marie Faytock, 30, of Aliquippa, was charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, four counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, careless driving, and driving without insurance on Thorn Run Road.  
  • Rex W. Fisher, 44, of Ohio, was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of a controlled substance at 2 a.m. Dec. 31 on University Boulevard.
