Police: Several Mailboxes Vandalized in Moon

Six mailboxes were damaged, according to police.

A half dozen mailboxes were damaged over the weekend in Moon, according to township police. 

Moon Police said someone used a baseball bat or a stick to destroy five mailboxes in the 300 and 400 blocks of Scottsdale Drive. A mailbox was also damaged in the 300 block of Meade Drive. 

Police received the first report of damage at 3:08 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 24. The mailbox was valued at $50. No one witnessed the acts.

Police also received a report Saturday of criminal mischief involving a billboard that sits on Scally's property facing the Business 376 West roadway, just before the Ewing Road exit. 

Police said the billboard's owner reported a ballast was stolen from two light fixtures and the wires for them were pulled out.
