Hearing Set for Moon Prostitution Suspect

Police say the alleged sex worker was working in the Pittsburgh airport area.

A Chicago woman agreed to meet with an undercover Moon Township detective to have sex in exchange for $400, police said in a report.

Moon Police earlier this month charged Maria Elizabeth An, 41, with prostitution, promoting prostitution and possessing instruments of crime, according to court records.

A preliminary hearing set for this week in Coraopolis District Court was continued.

The woman advertised prostitution services on the adult website Eros.com, saying she was a 25-year-old escort working for her first time in Pittsburgh at an airport-area hotel, according to the complaint.

An undercover officer agreed to meet with her Sept. 10 at the Embassy Suites in Moon. Police said in the complaint that she agreed to have sex in exchange for money.
