Why Go: Sit on Santa Claus's lap or in a a fire truck at this holiday event. Proceeds benefit the Big Sewickley Creek Volunteer Fire Department.

Pittsburgh Public Theater Presents Red

When/Where: 8 p.m. Saturday, O'Reilly Theater on Penn Avenue, Pittsburgh. 

Why Go: This bio drama of famed abstract expressionist Mark Rothko is set in his 1958 Manhattan studio.
