Four Charged with Prostitution at Super 8 in Moon

The women said they were working from a hotel in Moon Township.

A detective in Moon Township charged four women with conspiring to commit prostitution following a sting at the Super 8 Motel on University Boulevard.

Police Detective Charles Carr wrote in a criminal complaint that the women, each of whom reside outside of Pennsylvania, appeared in a prostitution advertisement on the classifieds website BackPage.com, and arranged to meet with a client on the evening of April 1 at the Moon hotel. 

Pittsburgh Vice Detective Joseph Ryzacj contacted Moon Police after a woman appearing in a series of escort advertisements said she was working from a hotel in Moon Township.

Carr said a woman going by the name of "Pebbles," later identified as 22-year-old Lindsay Walker, of Cincinnati, met him in a second-floor room of the hotel.

Carr offered her $200 in cash before she agreed to perform a sex act for the detective. Walker used an iPhone to communicate with another individual during the exchange, according to the complaint.

After the detective identified himself as a police officer, police seized $164, a credit card, condoms and an iPhone from Walker. 

Carr said Walker had no personal belongings in the room. She said her things were in room 220, where at least two other women were staying. 

In the room, Carr located Courtney O'Brien, 22, Victoria Furton, 21,and Lisa Phillips, 36, each of Michigan, police said. 

Carr wrote that he believes the three women communicated with Walker during their meeting. Police located condoms, drug paraphernalia, cash and three additional cell phones. 

Furton, Phillips and O'Brien were each arrested on charges including promoting prostitution, criminal conspiracy and possessing instruments of crime. 

Walker was charged with prostitution, promoting prostitution, criminal conspiracy, and possessing instruments of crime, according to court records.
