Driver Injured After Tractor-Trailer Rolls Over Hillside in Robinson

The driver was able to crawl up the hillside to safety.

A Bessemer man was taken to a Pittsburgh hospital Saturday morning after his tractor-trailer went over a hillside on I-79 and struck several trees in Robinson Township.

State police said James Landsberger, 58, was southbound on 79 around 6:20 a.m. when his vehicle went off the road and into a grassy field for about 70 yards. Police said the truck continued on, striking a tree before going over a 100-yard hillside and striking several more trees along the way.

Police said Landsberger crawled up the hillside and flagged down state police. He was then taken by ambulance to Allegheny General Hospital.
