Crescent Man Tased at DUI Stop

Moon Township Police blotter for Tuesday, Dec. 11.

Moon Police responded to the following recent incidents and made the following recent arrests. Each item is a reflection of police and court records and does not indicate guilt or a conviction. 

  • Shawncie Rae Henderson, 26, of Stowe, was charged with retail theft and conspiracy to committ retail theft on Dec. 5 at Kmart on Market Place Boulevard. Police said Henderson attempted to steal nearly $200-worth of items from the store. 
  • Robert David Harris, 23, of Crescent, was charged with escape, driving under the influence of a controlled substance, and driving with a suspended license on the evening of Dec. 3. Police subdued Harris with a Taser gun after he exited his vehicle and ignored police orders to stop, according to a complaint. 
  • Andrew Taravella Jr., 39, of McKees Rocks, was charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance on Dec. 7. 
  • Lee Middleton Corbett, 32, of Ambridge, was charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, driving on roadways laned for traffic, and speeding on Dec. 9.
