Update: Backhoe Slips Off Truck on Beaver Grade Road

No injuries are reported in the incident.

said a backhoe slipped off the back of a truck early this morning on Beaver Grade Road, causing traffic delays at the University Boulevard intersection. 

Officer James Kazmierczak said no one was injured in the accident, which slowed traffic in the intersection for more than an hour. 

He said the backhoe came loose from the truck shortly after 8 a.m., as the vehicle attempted to turn right from University Boulevard onto Beaver Grade Road. Police and road crews closed off a portion of the intersection while the scene was cleared.

The truck and equipment are owned by a private company, Kazmierczak said. No utility or structural damage was reported.

The intersection is now open to motorists.
