Car Crash Into Pole Causes Power Outages in Moon Township

Power was off and on for some residents for almost seven hours as crews worked to fix the downed wires from a utility pole on Beaver Grade Road.

An automobile accident along Beaver Grade Road Tuesday night resulted in several power outages for some residents of Moon Township.

According to a Moon Township police dispatcher, a car crashed into a utility pole at 9:53 p.m. on the stretch of Beaver Grade Road between Hayeswold Drive and the Downes fire station.

For about seven hours, residents experienced off-and-on power outages as utility crews worked to repair the damaged pole and downed wires. 

There were no injuries reported, according to the police dispatcher.
