Burglars Smash Window at Kip's Ice Cream

A cash register was moved in the incident.

Moon Police said burglars early Wednesday morning smashed the front window of  at the intersection of Thorn Run and Beaver Grade roads. 

Police said they found the ice cream shop's front window broken and its cash register near the store's front door when they responded shortly after 6 a.m. Wednesday. 

Police did not disclose in a report the amount of money taken in the burglary nor the extent of the store's damage. An investigation is ongoing.

Store owner Teresa Ware could not be reached for comment. A store employee declined to comment on the burglary. The business, in the Thorn Run Crossing Plaza, has reopened since the incident.
