Autumn Woods Landslide Repair Near Completion

Officials said remediation work is now wrapping up on a hillside that once posed

Township Planning Director Adam McGurk said crews contracted by the Moon Township-based NewPointe Realty are in the final phases of the Autumn Woods remediation project.

Since its construction in 2007, the improperly installed stormwater basin at the foot of the 34-home Autumn Woods development pushed sediment downward toward Flaughterty Run, uprooting trees, eroding land and threatening to dam Flaughterty Run.

McGurk said NewPointe, which developed Autumn Woods, is no longer in violation of the township's stormwater management ordinances and can again be issued building permits.
