Allegheny County Police Seek Assistance in Montour Trail Body Investigation

Were you on the trail or near Summit Park Drive Friday morning? County homicide detectives want to hear from anyone who saw this man.

Allegheny County homicide detectives are seeking the public's assistance in their investigation of a man's death Friday morning along the Montour Trail in Findlay Township.

The man's body was found at 9:54 a.m. Friday on the trail, below the overpass carrying Summit Park Drive, according to Lt. Andrew Schurman. Investigators believe the man fell or jumped to his death between 9:20 and 9:54 a.m.

Police are not identifying the man but said he was 43 years old and was white. He had dark hair, a slender build and was wearing a black jeans and a black Steelers t-shirt over a purple button-down shirt.

 Anyone who saw this man while traveling on Summit Park Drive or on the Montour Trail is asked to call the County Police Homicide unit at 412-473-1300.
