Bites Near Us: The Ground Round

Patch stops by this national chain's Moon Township location.

With school back in session and football season in full-swing,  in Moon is sure to be hopping. The local hotspot on University Boulevard attracts crowds of all ages with its attentive staff, good food and family-friendly atmosphere.

The restaurant is split into a dining area and a bar/lounge area. The dining room is great for families or big parties, while the lounge provides a fun time for adults, where patrons can watch sporting events on one of several TVs and enjoy a drink from the bar.

The menu is diverse, offering everything from sandwiches and salads to steaks and burgers. Appetizers, such as the potato skins, hot spinach dip and tower of onion rings, cost $6.99 to $12.99. The menu includes classic burgers, starting at $7.29, and specialty burgers, such as the bruschetta burger, pretzel burger and the clubhouse burger for as much as $10. Favorite sandwiches include the traditional club sandwich, French dip and buffalo chicken wrap for $8.99. The menu also offers ribs, chicken, seafood, pasta and TexMex entrees.
