Shop Owner Maggio Remembered as Dedicated to Family, Friends

Services will be held this week for the owner of Moon's Consignment Cottage and Robinson's ecoChic stores.

Services will be held tonight at in Moon for Jean Maggio, the owner of the and ecoChic boutiques. 

Maggio, 71, died June 8 following a stroke, according to an email distributed to store customers. She owned the stores with her daughter Terry Chesky. 

Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday at Copeland Funeral Home on Brodhead Road. Prayers will be recited at 8:45 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, followed a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church in Coraopolis.

Maggio, who was born in Bend, Indiana, has owned the Moon Clinton Road shop since 1992, according to her obituary information. She was married to her husband Vince for 52 years. She is also survived by daughters Chesky and her husband Robert and Kim Lundberg and husband Eric as well as seven grandchildren. 

Both Consignment Cottage and Robinson's ecoChic will be closed on Thursday.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Alison J. Michel Memorial Scholarship Fund, through the . 

Family members remember Maggio in her obituary as someone dedicated to both family and her stores' clientele, recalling her fondness for both family get-togethers and her work at the shops.

"Customers were welcomed with pride, a smile and instantly made to feel at home," according to her obituary.
