Moon Obituaries: Retired Hostess, Korean War Vet Remembered

Margaret June Bombara Kozuch

Margaret June Bombara Kozuch, 82, of Hopewell and Baldwin Borough, died February 14 in her home.

Born May 25, 1929, in Pittsburgh, she was a retired restaurant hostess and manager of many Pittsburgh-area eateries, including Dining J&L Steel, Kline’s Seafood Restaurant, The Parlor and Johnny Lounder’s. She enjoyed traveling, shopping and spending time with her family.

Her husband, Albert, preceded her in death in 2000. She is survived by two daughters, a son-in-law, three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. today at in Moon. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Fatima in Hopewell.

Interment will follow the service at Jefferson Memorial Park in West Mifflin. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Our Lady of Fatima.

Edmund J. Silla

Edmund J. Silla, 82, of Moon, died February 10. He was born in October 12, 1929, in Ambridge. He was married for 59 years to his wife, Lois Cook Silla. He was a father of three and grandfather of five.

Silla was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War and a supervisor at American Bridge and U.S. Steel.

Visitation was earlier this week at in Moon. Interment was conducted at Sewickley Cemetery with full military honors.
