John Andrew Krulick

John Andrew Krulick, 91, of Moon, died Jan. 3 at Heritage Valley Hospital in Sewickley. He was born Feb 26, 1920. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Stella Sulkowski Krulick.

He is survived by his children John Andrew Krulick Jr., Susan Stella Krulick, Nancy Marella Krulick and Christine Marie Scrivener.

Krulick was a Purple Heart recipient and served in the Navy during World War II. He frequented The Hangar on Flaugherty Run Road  and retired in 1986 from Taylor Wilson Manufacturing, where he worked as a machinist.

Visitation is from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. today at  in Moon Township. Services with full military honors will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.

Dianne L. Thomas 

Dianne L. Thomas, 64, of Crescent, died Dec. 31. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Michael Thomas, and her daughter, Stefani Thomas.

Thomas was born in Sharon, PA, and graduated from Sharpsville High School. She was a registered nurse on Sewickley Valley Hospital’s sixth floor, working in labor and delivery and pediatrics for 43 years.

There will be no visitation or services. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Heritage Valley foundation.

Morris M. Merriman 

Morris M. Merriman, 85, of Cranberry Township, died Dec. 23 in Heritage Valley Beaver. Merriman formerly resided in Sewickley.

He served in the U.S. Army and was discharged in 1946. He attended Clarion State Teachers College and received a master’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh. He briefly resided in Florida before moving to Cranberry.

He is survived by his sister-in-law and many nieces and nephews. Funeral arrangements have been conducted by and are private.
