Prudential Preferred Realty Sets Record for Make-a-Wish Yard Sale

Pittsburgh, PA (May 23, 2102) – Prudential Preferred Realty is proud to announce that its Beaver office raised a total of $10,500 at their 17th Annual Yard Sale held on May 17-18 for the benefit of the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Headed by Prudential Preferred Realty’s Tom Pazur and Bob Garvin, the 2013 Yard Sale set a new record for highest total amount raised since its inception in 1996.

Over 70 sales agents, family members and volunteers contributed their time over the past 3 months to organize, collect, store and price items. Additionally, over 150 people and businesses in the community donated items for the sale.

“As the years go on, more and more people in the community donate and volunteer. There is no way this would be possible without the help of the community, the Prudential Preferred Realty staff and their family and friends,” commented Bob Garvin of Prudential Preferred Realty and founder of the Make-a-Wish Beaver Yard Sale. “This event is truly a gift that keeps on giving.”

All cash proceeds from the event are donated to the Make-a-Wish Foundation and unsold items are donated to a non-profit charity in New Brighton, PA that helps local people in need.
