Moon, Robinson Organizations Eligible for Day of Giving Donations
The Pittsburgh Foundation's Day of Giving is Thursday, Oct. 3. Here's how you can help some local non-profits.
Several nonprofits in the Moon and Robinson areas are eligible to receive some extra funds on Thursday, Oct. 3 thanks to the annual PittsburghGives Day of Giving.
The Pittsburgh Foundation will match a pro-rated amount of all money donated to specific organizations starting at midnight through 11:59 p.m. on the Day of Giving.
Here are local organizations that are eligible:
- Allegheny Valley School
- American Cancer Society Inc.
- Bishop Canevin High School
- Bradley Center
- Circle C Youth and Family Services
- Early Learning Institute, The
- Focus on Renewal
- Global Links
- Hollow Oak Land Trust
- Open Door a program of Crafton Heights First Presbyterian
- Our Lady of the Sacred Heart High School (OLSH)
- Pittsburgh Savoyards Inc.
- Rebuilding Together Pittsburgh
- Rhema Christian School
- Steel Valley Trail Council
- Special Olympics Pennsylvania, Inc.
- Valley Care Association
The minimum gift per organization is $25. While there is no limit on the amount a donor can give to an organization, only the first $1,000 is eligible to receive a portion of the match pool. A donor may give to as many organizations as they like and all gifts up to $1,000 per organization will be eligible.
Nonprofits will receive a check with total donations and Pittsburgh Foundation match within 45 days of Day of Giving.
