Buy a Pair of Old Navy Flip Flops and Support Area Youth

Pittsburgh-based Familylinks is gathering the flip-flops for children the non-profit serves.

Head out to the Old Navy in North Fayette this Saturday, June 29 and buy a pair of $1 flip flops to help brighten a child's life.

Old Navy is teaming up with Familylinks of Pittsburgh to provide the donated flip flops to children served through the non-profit's Youth and Family Services Division.

"This is a great chance for anyone to brighten the summer for one of the many children we serve," said Stephanie Rex, communications and fund development associate.

Rex said many of the children Familylinks serves are staying in emergency shelters after being pulled from their homes due to abuse, neglect or family conflict. Others are facing homelessness, aging out of the foster care system or learning how to live independently, she said.

Anyone can purchase $1 flip flops to be donated to Familylinks.
