Strides for Cancer 5K Run/Walk: Pat Ware's Senior Project

Moon Area High School student, Patrick Ware is hosting Strides for Cancer, a 5K Run/Walk to raise money for the Relay for Life of Pittsburgh West. Pat is a very active participant and Cross Country captain at Moon High School. His motivation to organize the 5K was to donate to a cause that has directly affected him. Pat's paternal Grandfather is currently fighting lymphoma for the third time in his life. His maternal Grandfather passed away about a year and half ago from lung cancer. Pat made a promise to himself to run every face in honor of his grandfathers. Patrick is inviting you to run the 5K for your loved ones who have lost their battle or are possibly still fighting cancer. All the proceeds from the race will be donated to the Relay for Life of Pittsburgh West, a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society.
