Moon Area School District - Strategic Plan

TOPIC OF DISCUSSION:  What should be the measurable milestones that demonstrate appropriate progress toward our "top 1%" objective?

BACKGROUND:  Most assessments of school district performance in Pennsylvania place Moon Area School District at the outer edge of the top 10%.  Our School Board has challenged the administration to lift Moon's performance even higher - to the top 1% of school districts in PA.

The strategic plan - currently being developed - will provide a road map to accomplishing this very challenging objective.

Each community session will focus on one of nine questions around which the strategic plan will be built.

Success requires that a wide range of voices be heard - and that community alignment be achieved.
