The American Cancer Society is gearing up for our Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event. You can create a world with less breast cancer and more birthdays. The American Cancer Society is currently looking for volunteers to help its Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk be successful once again this year.
In 2012, approximately 10,500 cases of breast cancer were diagnosed in Pennsylvania alone. For women coping with this disease, hope starts here with the American Cancer Society.
This year’s event will take place on October 12, 2013 at the North Shore Riverfront Park Great Lawn. Registration time is 8:00 am and the walk will begin at 9:00 am. The 5K non-competitive walk raises money for breast cancer research, education, advocacy and patient services in your community.
