Focus On Renewal's 44th Anniversary Gala
On Saturday, October 12, Focus On
Renewal (FOR) will celebrate its 44th anniversary with a special
event at the Father Ryan Arts Center, 420 Chartiers Avenue, McKees Rocks.
FOR’s longtime leader Fr. Regis Ryan,
who recently retired as Executive Director, will be honored for the profound
impact he’s had on the Sto-Rox community. Honorary chairman is Randy Castriota, owner of Castriota Metals, with locations in McKees Rocks and Pittsburgh.
"While Fr. Ryan resists us making such a fuss about him,
all of us at Focus On Renewal knew we had to honor all that he has done for the
Sto-Rox community," said new Executive Director Greg Quinlan.

The gala will begin at 6 p.m. with a $125.00 VIP reception.
Gregg Behr, executive director of The Grable Foundation, will lead a toast to Fr.
Ryan for his decades of service to Focus On Renewal. The theme is “A Taste of
Sto-Rox” and will feature homestyle favorites, such as pierogies, ravioli, ribs and more.
The main celebration will begin at 7 p.m. To commemorate
FOR’s 44th year, individual tickets are only $44.00. All Focus On Renewal
programs – support services, early childhood education, the library and the
arts -- will be celebrated throughout the Father Ryan Arts Center. A retrospective
honoring Fr. Ryan will be held in the Baverso Theater, with a silent auction in
the Art Gallery.
