Fish Market Cookbook Tasting & Signing

Fish Market author and New Castle native Kathy Hunt to hold a seafood talk, tasting and signing at the Pittsburgh Public Market on Saturday October 26th at 11 AM.

Dubbed by Publisher’s Weekly “a fine guidebook for learning to deal with a cornucopia of seafood,” Fish Market serves up everything that readers need to know about selecting, storing, preparing and pairing healthful fish and shellfish.
Hunt’s cookbook features over 130 creative but approachable recipes and over 75 detailed illustrations. Sharing flavor affinities, food pairings, eco-ratings and a bit of history for each dish, this cookbook takes the mystery out of cooking seafood. With 23 million Americans no longer consuming meat and even more taking the less radical step of integrating fish and shellfish into their weekly menus, Fish Market is a timely, useful book for even the most novice cook.

A pescetarian for over 15 years and writer for more than 20 years, Kathy Hunt’s articles have appeared in such publications as The Los Angeles Times, Chicago Tribune, VegNews and online at Zester Daily and Yahoo! Shine. She has also contributed entries to the food encyclopedia Entertaining from Ancient Rome to the Super Bowl (Greenwood Press, 2007) and worked as a recipe tester and photographer.  Born and raised in New Castle, she is an alumnus of Neshannock High School, Grove City College and Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism. She divides her time between New York City and suburban Philadelphia. For more information on Fish Market, visit FishMarketBook.com.
